Hi, I'm Shafe.

About

I'm a full-stack engineer at Eduport, an EdTech company serving students across mobile apps, computer-based exams and hostel operations. I work across the whole stack: Django and Celery services, React and Next.js frontends, and the AWS/Cloudflare infrastructure that runs them.

The systems I've shipped include the core LMS backend behind four client apps, a distributed FFmpeg → HLS video transcoding platform with autoscaling workers, a hostel management system with recurring Razorpay billing, and the internal tools content and support teams use every day.

I care about boring reliability: idempotent jobs, clear domain models, observability, and deploy pipelines that make Friday releases uneventful.

How I work

  • Clear domain models

    Bookings, payments, encodes — the model should read like the business talks.

  • Idempotent by default

    Jobs and webhooks will be retried. Design so running twice is harmless.

  • Boring reliability

    Locks, queues, reconciliation and observability before clever abstractions.

  • Ship in small steps

    Feature flags, preview deploys and migrations that can roll forward.
